How much does AI consultancy cost?

Published New Era AI consulting retainers start at £600 per month (AI Pulse, one consulting day per quarter) and go up to £2,800 per month (AI Partner, six days per quarter). Build work is quoted separately. Echo One software plans are £49, £149 and £300.

In short

AI consultancy cost depends on how much senior time you retain, not on a mystery day-rate that changes after a sales call. New Era AI publishes monthly retainers against a fixed number of consulting days per quarter. That covers Discover, Roadmap and Support. Execute (implementation) is scoped once a clear win is identified.

Published consulting retainers

AI Pulse£600/month · 1 day per quarter
AI Foundation£1,150/month · 2 days per quarter
AI Accelerate£1,600/month · 3 days per quarter
AI Momentum£2,000/month · 4 days per quarter
AI Transform£2,400/month · 5 days per quarter
AI Partner£2,800/month · 6 days per quarter

What the retainer includes

Each package includes a dedicated senior consultant, an inefficiency and bottleneck audit, a 12-month AI roadmap, and quarterly reviews. Higher tiers add workshops, more frequent check-ins and closer oversight of live initiatives.

The retainer does not automatically include software build. That sits in Execute and is quoted when you are ready. Treating build as “included” is how retainers turn into unpaid development.

How to choose a tier without over-buying

Pulse is for sole traders and micro-businesses testing the water: one day a quarter is enough to scan the operation and keep a light roadmap alive. Foundation and Accelerate add days so more than one department can be in the room.

Momentum and above exist when several AI jobs are already in flight and someone has to keep the backlog honest. If you only have one bottleneck and a clear product in mind, you may want Pulse plus a product subscription, not Partner on day one.

You can move up a tier at any time. Starting too high because a competitor named a bigger package is the usual mistake.

Software plans are separate

Echo One Starter£49 per month
Echo One Growth£149 per month
Echo One Elite£300 per month

Worked example: Pulse versus a voice plan

A clinic knows after-hours calls are the problem. Echo One Growth at £149 per month is a product decision. A Pulse retainer at £600 per month is how they check that voice is actually the first job, that the diary can accept bookings, and that UK GDPR boundaries are agreed.

Those are different invoices. Publishing both on this page is so buyers do not compare a consulting day with a software seat as if they were the same unit of cost.

What we do not publish

We do not publish a menu of Execute build prices, because a voice agent with calendar write and a three-system zap are not the same project. We do not publish invented ROI percentages.

A free AI Opportunity Assessment is the conversation before you pick a tier. It is not a substitute for Discover, and it is not a discounted Pulse day.

When this matters

Use this when comparing a consulting retainer with a product subscription. Full package detail lives on /packages. Echo One pricing lives on /echo-one.

Questions

Is there a cheaper way to start?

A short, no-obligation conversation about where enquiries, hours and revenue leak today. You do not have to pick a tier to have it, and what comes out of it feeds Discover, so the first paid day starts from evidence rather than a blank sheet.
