Cookies

Every cookie New Era AI sets, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to change or withdraw your consent at any time.

New Era AI Ltd (company number 13167322), based in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales, is the data controller for this website. This page is the companion to our privacy notice and covers one narrow question: what gets stored on your device, and why.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. The same rules apply to local storage, which is what we actually use for your consent choice. Both are covered by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and, where they touch personal data, by UK GDPR.

The rule we follow

Nothing but the strictly necessary is set before you choose. That means when you first arrive, no analytics is running and the chat widget script has not been downloaded. Accepting and rejecting are the same two clicks, presented with the same prominence, because a choice that is harder to decline is not a choice.

The three categories

Essential

Cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot remember your consent choice or prove that you gave one. These are first party, contain no identifying information, and are never shared.

Analytics

Aggregate readership only: which pages get read, which get abandoned, which search terms bring people in. We use it to decide what to write next. It is off until you turn it on.

Functional

Third-party features that need their own storage to work: the live chat widget, and the audio session behind the Echo One demo. Declining means those features stay off; everything else on the site works normally.

Changing your mind

Open the settings panel below and change any toggle. The new choice takes effect immediately: turning a category off stops the site using it from that point, and we record the change against your existing consent record.

You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which resets everything and makes the banner ask again. Blocking essential cookies entirely will mean the banner reappears on every visit, because there is nowhere left to store your answer.

What we record when you consent

To show that consent was properly obtained, we keep: the categories you allowed, whether that was accept-all, reject-all or a custom selection, the version of this policy you were shown, the page you were on, the time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. It is held for as long as the consent is current plus a short period afterwards, and it is used for nothing else.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the consent record we hold for you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@neweraai.ai and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we add a cookie or change what an existing one does, we bump the policy version and ask everyone again. The current version is 2026-08-20.
